i might have had my first post-fade slip up.

due to a temporary job, i've found myself back in my hometown the last few weeks.

i was pumping gas this morning when i was approached by the presiding overseer of my old congregation (technically my current congregation since i never bothered to change my publisher card).

I thought today that if they tried to ask for me to come in, I would send them the message that I am not interested in coming to speak with them.

They would say something like "What? You aren't interested in Jehovah?" I would answer that I am not interested in speaking with them.

I will let them scrape together whatever they want to from that statement. I am admitting NOTHING.

i really believe this is one of the huge scandals of the wtbts.

to start, i just posted on the friends topic, a thread on the 07 circuit assembly.

i received replys that made me think of how if children could not be bapticed, how that alone could have blunted some of the disfunction in our lives.

They can legislate that I shouldn't yell at Susie, or call her a !%#@, or even some ethnic slur, but they can't legislate that I must love her, or be cordial to her, or even speak to her.

my wife and i split from the witnesses about 2 years now....and now she says we need a divorce asap!

lately and for awhile she has been amazingly aggressive to me.....and pretty much everyone else she knows.

Anyone see Criss Angel walk on water last night on A&E?

ok, i'm not a person who takes what i see on tv as "real" but that was pretty darn mind blowing.

the guy walked on the hoover dam lake, people were coming into the water, checking out the water underneath him to make sure he wasn't walking on something and it appeared he was not.

holy crap, i watched in complete disbelieve yet thinking, how could you pull that off as an illusion?

plexiglas + audience confederates (that is the old-school term for people in on the trick. I don't usually like the word confederate. haha)

The long pants aren't necessary for the trick, but if he had on shorts, the above-mentioned plexiglas trickery would be easier to imagine. The pants aid in the illusion; they assist in suspending reality, in creating the "magic."

Dude is a goth/alternative hipster hack, but I can't hate. He is in his own lane. Most of his tricks are old school tricks. But there are some real things he does, just like David Blaine with those endurance challenges, etc. Criss' mother is very upset with him about that part of his act. haha.
